This week, we have hit the ground running and will be continuing our SATs preparations by taking practice tests in Reading, Maths and Spag.
We have been working really hard on fractions recently and have been learning how to add, divide, multiply and subtract fractions. We have also learned about mixed numbers and improper fractions and have used these new found skills to help us solve a range of reasoning problems. We are now looking at the relationship between Decimals, Fractions and Percentages.
In Reading, we are continuing to improve our comprehension skills by discussing texts, working in small groups to unpick texts, looking at vocabulary and improving our inference and deduction skills.
In Writing, we working on writing a mystery story! We are working on improving our vocabulary, punctuation and sentence structure. We have also employed all that we have learned during Spag lessons to help improve our writing even further!
Our new topic in RE is called 'Being a Sacramental People'. In this topic we will learn that, "Bidden or not bidden, God is present". We will learn how to recognise God in our day-to-day lives, as well as learn how the Sacrament of Reconciliation encourages us to forgive, as well as ask for forgiveness.
