Partnership with Parents

Partnership with Parents...

We place great importance on our partnership with parents. You expect us to teach your children to a high standard, to keep them safe and look after their welfare. We also have expectations of you, and remind you that in choosing to send your child to St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Junior School, you agree to support our aims and policies.

Homework...

Parents should check homework. A homework schedule is given out at the beginning of the year, so you understand expectations. Homework is given each day during the week and generally there is no homework over the weekend. We encourage children to read for pleasure at this time.

Reports/Parent Meetings...

Reports are issued at the end of the summer term. Parents are invited to a meeting with their child's teacher in the autumn and spring terms, to discuss their progress. Meetings at other times of the year can be made by contacting the school office.

Teachers are available at the end of each school day as they bring their class onto the playground to be collected. Parents are welcome to speak with teachers at this time.

Friends of St Mary Magdalen's...

We have an active parents association and encourage all parents to support this group. There is a committee that is elected annually and meet regularly to support the school in organising fund raising events.
